I have seen many arcade cabs running MAMEWAH frontend and I have noticed that alot of them are for systems other than MAME (SNES, NES, Genesis, N64, etc), AND that alot of them have many screenshots.
Is there like an archive somewhere that has screenshots for console systems?

Try that search tab up there. ::) It's very handy. :P
-
tried that already....used the keywords "screen shots" and "snaps" but a bunch of hits with not very useful info

Screenshot archive. It has a new host, but there are a bunch of threads in the next few pages that will have the link. All your dreams will come true there. As far as screenshots go that is. I hope you're not dreaming for PSone shots or DC.
Here you go rookie ;D:

no DC/PSone screenshots, only classic consoles....
now if there was an archive that had zip files for each system...
-
Note: If you look at my last reply and the time of my edit, it took roughly five minutes to locate this thread five pages back, appropriately titled,"Where is screenshot archives?"

Do you mean for DC/PSone, or in general? Because the others are zipped. I don't believe PSOne or DC exist as a set anywhere. That has been discussed a couple times on here.

I just meant in general. I don't need screenshots for DC/PSone
thank you for the link
too bad screenshotarchive.com is defunct

I don't understand, they do come zipped from that site in a folder. ??? Do you know what Good Utilities is? That is a program that will sort all the roms into regions and other useful divisions.

I don't know. I have downloaded the screenshots, etc. from Screenshot archive and about 70-80 percent of the filenames matched with my names of the games. I'm pretty sure the sets I have are good-whatever named. I ended having to go through and manually rename quite a few image files. I wish I could find good matching sets or that the console games would do like Mame and keep the naming accurate.
Not really complaining, though, the archive is a great resource. I'm glad it's there.
Cheers,

Maybe it would be interesting to have screenshots of PSX/DC games (since I do have pretty much every game for both of those)
anyone know where to get screenshots of PSX/DC games?

That my friend is the $64,000 question. ???

Well, the content carries on. I tried to buy the domain name, but once it got up over $80 during the auction... I was out. Especially since I wasn't trying to make money off of it. Now some stupid interweb spammer search engine has the name. If I knew THAT was who was buying it, I might have bid more.

Hey man, I wouldn't sweat it(not that I think you really are). You did more than enough to take it on and host. You do a ton for this community and I wouldn't let that auction thing get to you. Either no one wanted to cough up the money or they didn't know about the situation. Again, it was a stand up thing to take it on and we really appreciate it. Your definitely one of the good guys in my book.
