It's a port of MAME32. It's a Neo Geo specific port with improved drivers. It's programmed by a Japanese programmer, but you will find a link for it near the top of the page.
BTW, this is no NeoMame32. This is a totally different port called NMAMEX. This one seemed to run the fastest of all the NeoGeo only Mame versions and even regular Mame 55! on my Pentium 3 500mhz. I'm trying to use it in Mamewah for my upcoming bartop but I can't create a games list. I don't know if it would even work under mamewah. I'm not sure which version of mame it's based on but the last release was on 12/09/01

I would guess it's something to do with your list generation method of "romfolder_vs_listxml. Probably something with listxml. Try a method of "romfolder" and see if you at least get a list and can play a game before spending anymore time and energy.

Do the games play outside of MameWAH?
In the mamewah folder there is a file, mamewah.log. delete it, it will get recreated. Launch MameWAH and try and launch a game. Exit MameWAH and the check the log file for issues. Post the text here for us to look at.

Yes they do. Now when I launch a game through MameWah I get a little box that says Unknown option 'verify roms' continue anyways yes or no. So I click on yes. Then Nmames gui pops up behind a loading bar (like mame32's) appears and loads the game. Then when I exit the game, I get Nmame's gui over mamewah. So I have to press ALT+F4 to exit Nmame's gui then Esc to exit mamewah.

Update. Changed {autodosbox} to {nodosbox} so now I don't get the verify roms box. However when I exit the game Nmame's gui still appears above Mamewah so I have to press Alt+F4 to close Nmame then after it closes press ESC to exit Mamewah.

Sounds like a setting in nmame. I just downloaded it and will have a look-see. What version are you using? Link?

I found the version at you link.

Well, my roms are the wrong version. I would have guessed so. Anyways, I don't think that the application, nmame32, exits with the ESC key. If you use a keyboard encoder you can try and program an ALT-F4 which kills most Windows aplliactions. It works for me with nmame32. That should return you to MameWAH.

First I just want to say Thank you for all your help.
That's my problem. I'm trying to get rid of the gui so I won't have to do that when I put it in my cab. Update. Changed {autodosbox} to {nodosbox} so now I don't get the verify roms box. If it is just for the NeoGeo games, have your tried Nebula?
John
-
Ya, i've tried Nebula before but it's very resource hungry. I'm about to build a bartop with a P3 500mhz. Too bad NeorageX doesn't work under Mamewah. Well it actually does but it also loads the gui when you choose a game.
