I've tried changing the resolution for this game in MAME32, but the game still shows up as being very small for me and not full screen. Can someone please tell me what settings you are using to play this game at normal size in MAME32?
Thanks.

I'll check my settings for you when I get home tonight if no one else has responded by then.

Isn't DoDonPachi vertically oriented?

Yeah, but for some reason it is showing up as a 9.5"x9.5" box in the middle of my 25" monitor. I can't figure out what is wrong for the life of me and changing the resolution does nothing. I'm thinking one of my settings is wrong for the game.

sounds like hardware stretch is off for that game (hwstretch). If its only that game then check that games own setup. I've also heard of this happening in some resolutions with some (very few) video cards - almost always integrated into motherboard chipsets...

I am using an ArcadeVGA card and HW Stretch was off for that game. I turned it on and ran the game and it promptly brought up a resolution error and then made me restart the computer. ???

I just checked my settings:
Zoom = 3
Rotation = anticlockwise
Stretch using hardware = checked
Switch resolutions to fit = checked
Under Resolution: size, depth and refresh all set to auto
Clean stretch = auto
I'll be the first to tell you that I don't know what all of these options are, I just experiment 'till I get the desired result.
Hope this helps...

THANK YOU DIZZLE! :D
Finally got it working. I was turning on hardware stretch before, but the combination of putting the zoom on 3 and turning the hardware stretch on fixed it for me.
Thanks again, this was driving me crazy.
