I bought an old Frogger cab (converted to Ring King) for $30 to use for my first MAME cab. The CP is on the small side (24" x 7" I believe). I'm planning to set up a 2 joystick/6 button per joystick configuration. Imagine the X-Arcade minus the 2 bottom buttons for each joystick. I really want to add a 2 1/4" Happs USB trackball, but from what I can tell on the Happs website, I'll need 6" of height and 6" width clearance for the thing. I could extend the height of the CP I guess so that it "juts out" past the sides of the cab, but am I screwed by the 24" width? I don't have to have all 6 buttons per joystick if reconfiguring that would help.
Or is the space I'm working with not even worth trying to figure something out?
I could post a pic, but I'm not sure how to attach it (does it have to be a link or can I attach it?)
Is there any other info I could provide that would be helpful?

That arrangement can fit in less than 21 inches. I mocked it up in illustrator, here is a screen cap:

Thanks Whammoed!
Is the trackball too close to that second joystick? Meaning, am I going to slam my hand into it all the time? ;D

Here's the pic of the cab, BTW...

That depends on how you play and what game. On a game like centipede where you don't want to give it a hard spin it is absolutely fine. Marble Madness would be another story though.

Centipede and Missile Command are the biggies, so i think I should be okay. <famous last words!!>
