Title: Who can solve this? mk games scrolling but older games work perfectly

I am still having problems with this and its driving me nuts!  I have: wellsgarder arcade monitor/arcadeVGA and jpac.  I can get games like moonwalker and wwf wrestlefest working perfectly but when I load up games like mortal kombat the screen is scrolling.  I was told to change the refresh rate to mk stand of 53 or as close as possible but that did not work.  any help with this.  I am using mame32fx and running in XP  Thank you in advanced.

You adjusted the v-hold on your monitor?
All it needs is very gentle tweaking of the v-hold knob.

ok, so I figured it out kinda. I had to switch resolution to 800x600 with a little vhold tweeking. the only game i cant get working is wwf superstars.
