If so, how the hell do you open the package?
-
You open it with your router using the Ryobi router case opening blade. I think you need another blade to open that one, too...
-
Gotta be the oddest question I've ever seen regarding a router bit ;D
Isn't the packaging plastic, or did you get one of those new ones in that indestructible unobtanium?
-
Obviously this thread really needs pics....
Of the Ryobi Router Bit Package in question that is.

I lust hit em with a 5lb sledge. The router bit comes right out without a scratch on it! Try it. You'll see

I gotta buy one of those. My bowling ball is starting to get dull
-
I got it open, but it did involve a hammer. The bit was stanging in the middle of an acrylic plastic case. It looked like it was supposed to slide out, so you could later store the bit in it. That ain't happening now

This reminds me of my router bit story. I had one that was a bugger to get out of the package. Here I am with a sharp knife, trying to get to my sharp router bit, and of course when I do finally get it out, I've got a big cut with blood pouring out. And what did I cut myself on? The stupid plastic packaging. >:(
-
I cut myself on a french stick once, that was after I had been playing with a sharp knife talking to my mate on the phone ::)
That rubber stuff the router blades come covered in irritates me, yes its for safety but its just annoying.
-
The bit slides out from the bottom. LOL.... I did the exact same thing with mine though. I took a hammer to the case, then realized after I had destroyed that it slides out from the bottom.
-
Should you really be playing with a router? I'd take it back to the store and ask the dude behind the counter... always good for a laugh!

A 16 year old playing witha router. Scary, ain't it? What sucks is that my wireless signal has not gotten any better.
