Title: Question about a cabinet on/off switch
Post by: Wir3d on February 26, 2006, 04:50:42 am
Hi,

I,ve just aquired a dedicated nba jam arcade and the cabinet is missing an on/off switch.
How many amps should the switch be......3a 125v......or 6a 125v?    or does it matter.

I'm not totaly sure but are you sure the switch is missing?

Maybe the switch is in near the coin door and you didn't see it?

nope, the switch is missing ive searched throughout the whole cab and its not there, and there is a small hole cut out of the top rear cab where the switch goes, so i know for sure the switch is missing

Go with the 6 amp, 3 would probably be ok.  Most likely the higher the amperage on the switch, the better it would be.  Or check the back of the cabinet for a rating plate, probably near the power cord to see how much current the thing draws.

Fine your cabinet will be, with a 10 Amp rated switch.
