SO I just bought a new family car, and it comes with a Microvision DVD player in it. The car is used so we have no manuals or anything for the player. The video plays just fine, but I can't figure out how to get the sound playing. There is no setting on the cars stereo system to change to DVD (that I know of), only CD to radio, etc.
My google searches have turned up hundreds of hits on links to Microvision auctions, but nothing for manuals or the like.
The car is a 2001 Pathfinder, the stereo is factory so no aftermarket stuff there.
ANy assistance anyone can provide would be awesome.
Thanks!

Did you hook it up tto the rca inputs on the back of the stereo

I assuming that is how it's set up. Like I say, this was already in when I bought it, it's pretty clear it works, I have just yet to figure out how to get the sound going.
*Update* just checked and it is hooked up to the RCA inputs
Thanks

I'm guessing mebbe it works by broadcasting through the stereo in the car. Try starting at the smaller end of the FM range while playing a movie and page through the stations.

Is the player factory too? Not sure if that was a dealer installed option or not. Since it kept the factory head unit, it might be. This site has forums that may help you.

Thanks for the replies all, I ended up going to a local CarToys, they found the problem in 2 seconds. There was a tiny little switch under the dash on the drivers side that needed to be flipped, then the radio needed to be turned to a particular frequency. Once that was done, sound....
So all is good, thanks again for the help!
