Does anyone have any suggestions regarding printing Intellivision overlays? I'd like them to have the same plastic feel of the originals, so I was considering inkjet transparencies but I have only found clear ones, so anything white wouldn't come out clear. Does anyone make printable opage plastic sheets?
Does anyone have any cost-effective suggestions for printing out overlays on an inkjet printer?
Thanks

Inkjet ink tends to rub off of that plastic material pretty easy. You might find yourself having to reprint those things more times than they're worth.

Any idea if laser color would last longer? I have a professional model at work

What about printing them reverse reading and then backing it up with something. That way the printed art is sandwiched between the plastic and whatever you use to back it. I have some inkjet transparency material on hand, shoot me over an art file and I'll see if I can figure something out.

First thing I did was lay out the image 4up in photoshop. Then I flipped it horizontally so it was wrong reading. When you're using inkjet trasparency, you'll notice that one side is rough and made to accept the ink. The first time I printed it the black wasn't very dense at all, so I adjusted levels in photoshop and get a pretty nice black. Here is a pic of the printed sheet.

Next thing I did was get some 3M Super 77 and gave a sheet of white 20# bond paper a light dusting. Then I cut out one of the overlays and layed it down on the paper.

I couldn't find my trusty exacto, so I just cut this one with scissors. I don't have an intellivision, so i couldn't tell you how well this thing will work in the actuall controller. It's about 1 20# bond sheet of paper thicker than the original overlays.

I will try it out this weekend and let you know how well it fits in an intellivision controller.
Thanks
