Any of you guys ever remove the knob off of a Tron spinner ? I have one but its so rusty I can't tell if its a set screw or a small roll pin. My guess would be a set screw but I tried a few sizes of allen wrenches but nothing grabs but again that might be due to rust clogging up the hex hole. I have a bad feeling I'm going to have to drill it out and re tap some new threads but first I just want to make sure that its not a roll pin.

Mine, and others I've seen, use a roll pin. And every one I've seen has been rusty, too. If you can find a long enough punch or nail set, you could probably tap it out.

Remove the two allen head set screws at the very bottom of the spinner that hold the main shaft. The knob and shaft will slide right out the top. Once you have the shaft and knob out, you can see and access the underside of the knob and the roll pin that holds it on. A pair of needle-nose pliers should get the roll pin out through the bottom of the knob.

Just tried it on mine and it worked like a charm. Thanks Karman.

Ahh ok, Good thing I asked before I started drilling away. I have a much better chance of removing a rusty role pin rather then a corroded stripped out set screw.
Thanks all !
