Title: Monitor Repairs?
Post by: Popcorrin on February 22, 2006, 12:02:05 am
Typically, other than burn in, what problems can't be fixed with a chassis replacement?

I have some tubes that seem to be in good shape, but I didn't want to put any money into them if there may be problems with the tube itself.  I just don't know what to look out for.

If the yoke were defective/burnt/arcing.

If the picture tube had low emission (need a rejuvenator to confirm & possibly repair).

Cracks in the neck, or any sort of damage that has let air into the tube.
