Title: CGA monitor/MAME/ArcadeVGA/Width shifting between resolutions
Post by: killbill on February 21, 2006, 07:02:16 pm
Hi Guys,

I'm old school when it comes to MAME, but a newbie with the MAME interface with arcade monitors.

I picked up a 25" CGA WG k7400 monitor.  I hooked it up to my ArcadeVGA 9200 chipset card, and used minwah's MAME resolution tool to set the appropriate game resolutions.

The result was great; BUT there is one really annoying issue.  Here's an example:  I set the width and height of the screen in accordance with Street Fighter 2. Looks great.  Then I run Golden Axe.  The screen shifts to the left leaving a nasty 1" black border on the right hand of the screen.

It seems this happens when I switch to certain resolutions.  Is there any way to correct this?  My width adjustment is maxxed out as it is, so i can't just make the screen wider.

Any help is truly appreciated.
Thanks

I've got similar issues with my U2000 (the k7400 replaced it).  I'll keep watching this post, but let me know if you get any private messages with a fix.
