Title: Canyon Bomber Bezel and Overlay?
Post by: jcroach on February 20, 2006, 09:32:42 am: Does anyone hav a good high quality scan of the Canyon Bomber bezel and monitor overlay? I'd love to take a shot at vectoring it. It's not the most popular game, but I love the artwork.

If anyone can help me out, please let me know.

Flyers often have the art or portions of it at least...this page of the flyer looks to have the upper sideart and looks to be a great candidate for vectorization. The bezel artwork can at least be used for color reference and proportion. Obviously you used klov as a reference; their photo of the control panel may be a easier piece to start with for vectorization.

Its a lot of work as you can imagine, but on closer inspection it isnt as bad as you'd think.

The scan I have needs rescanning as it was at 180 dpi and was a tad too murky.

If anyone has any good scanning tips for bezels / Marquees etc let us know!

Once its rescanned and a better scan produced, I'll let you know where to download. We only have the Bezel at the moment, although its very beautiful piece of artwork.

Backdrop still needs to be found / purchased.

Its one of those bezels that needs patience, my advice to anyone vectoring is to take just one part at a time and vector that, then move on to another part and slowly build up your artwork.

Never try to do it all in one go.
