Title: What is a good program on the xbox for backups?
Post by: fastredpacman on February 18, 2006, 04:45:21 pm
My cousin is staying with us and he likes playing my xbox however he is really careless with the games and has already scratched a few of them. So I got my xbox modified and am new to all this. I have been using DVD2xbox to backup my games but it doesn't seem to backup GTA3 San Andreas. Any clues? I have tried DVD2Xbox and XBCopy and both copy everything fine then when you launch it it goes back to the dashboard! Any help would be cool!

Nice story.  I'm not giving any information until you retract the ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow--- story about your cousin.  Don't be scared.  We won't judge you.  Everyone here either has a modded Xbox or wants one.  I'm okay with dishonesty when it comes to pirating videogames, but when your dishonesty begins to spill over into BYOAC we have a problem.

Well its true here is a few pictures for proof. Being that the xbox is on its way out the games are not that expensive but I would hate to keep byuing the same game over and over again.

Well I found out on diff message boards that if you worded your questions wrong you would get 0 help.Even if it is a BS story he did say "backups" and not rent and copy them :P
Anyway about your problem DVD2XBOX 7.2 is the best Ive used it from day 1 .As for GTA:SA not working your disk might be scratched to bad to make a backup but 1st I would see if your system clock(on microsoft xbox dash) is set to the right time and date.
I know that GTA and GTA:VC will not run if the system clock is off.
If that don't work go to family video and see if they could put your disk in there disk buffer to clean it up abit and try it again.

Having a modded xbox that plays 13 old school consoles on one system is just heaven. All in All I use my xbox for about 95% classic gaming and 5% xbox games.  8)

Keep an eye on savegames as well, they corrupt sometimes, and cause similar issues
