So I finally got my hands on a Candy Cab, and it's in need of a monitor. To save a few bucks I thought about using Jroks converter and putting a TV tube in it. Has anyone ever attempted to do this and was it easy or were you succesful? The cabinet has the monitor rotating mount in it. It's a Jaleco Candy Mark IV cabinet.
Also the current monitor is a full 29" with a 27" viewable.
I tryed the search function, but could only find examples for a U.S. Cab.
I am always at the neo-geo.com forums, but since I got my hands on a cab I thought this would be a good place to get some info.
I enjoy modding and building console Joysticks, but this is my first cab.

After converting the tv to an arcade monitor you'll want to take the monitor mounts inside that Pony cabinet and attach it to your newly converted monitor. Just swap out the mounts. ;)

Be carefull though some TV's have live Chassis so you could end up with a live cab... Deffo fit an Isolation transformer if you go this route.
Its not so much of a problem fitting a TV in an old Woodie.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know the mounts on a monitor were removeable. I guess I should have checked.
And as far as the isolation transformer, the cab already has a complete power suppply. It's the type that has a regular plug adapter inside of it, to plug the monitor. Sorry for the nooby wording, but I am sure you guys get it.
Thanks again, more suggestions or advice are welcome.
