Title: Jukebox Pro
Post by: oznetradio on February 16, 2006, 04:33:44 pm
I am trying to download a copy of "JukeboxPro" software. Each time I go to the site (www.jukeboxpro.com), I am redirected to another site (http://www.hothits.com.au/mrbruce/). This is apparently because I am in Australia and that JukeboxPro isn't being offered to us Aussies. Instead, we have to purchase Eliminator (which is exactly the same thing), but it costs $750. Eliminator doesn't have a demo.

To cut a long story short, does anyone know how I can get around being redirected from the Jukeboxpro site? I have found download links for Jukeboxpro from other sites, but when I go to install the program it will not install.

Any ideas??? Please post or PM if you prefer. I'd really like to test this program out.

Here is the link to what I get when I try to goto Jukeboxpro.com

http://www.jukeboxpro.com/jukeboxproint.html (http://www.jukeboxpro.com/jukeboxproint.html)

They only have flash demos not actual software you can download.

It's only $30 US on this site.

I did find a demo that is downloadable. V2 doesn't seem too bad.

I hope I don't get banned for posting this link. :o

Yeah, that's the bit that I am having trouble with. After I download the zip file and start installing the demo it just hangs. He must have it configured so the demo doesn't work on an Australian-based PC???? I would happily pay $30 for the software if I was satisfied with the demo.
Thanks for your input so far... any ideas welcome.

The demo is on the site. When I download it, it won't load to my PC. As previously stated, this must be because it senses my PC is Australian based and won't allow it.

Any assistance in getting around this would be appreciated.

Change your regional settings to the USA and then try and install it?

The author of Jukeboxpro got banned from BOYAC, because he tried to promote the software to been the best one.

There are other software out here trouch (from the Wikipage):
http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Jukebox_Software

You should try one of them?

*Min system requirements: Pentium 4 Windows XP operating system 384 megs of ram 60 gig hard drive. Dual head Video card ati, Sound card, Touch screen(If required.Software can work without a touch screen),

WOW Have you seen thoose specs, P4 and 384Mb of ram.... Forget it, go to the wiki like space fractal said and download something of there. Also looking at his screenshots i doubt that would be any good on a touchscreen because he uses standard list boxes for his track lists which when i was developing my software i found were too small to use with my touchscreen.
