Okay, so before I began construction (Lusid's) I thought I had all 26" pieces sanded down to match, but now that I have began construction I have found that my coin door, back bottom and top panel are all 1/16" short.
I now have the base panel (perfect 26") and sides permanently attached with glue. From here should I sand the rest to match or will my cab's MDF have enough give? I really am going for a sound construction and was planning on making the coin panel non removeable as well!
Am I stressing over nothing here? Please help the Noob!
Thanks in advance!

Here is a crazy idea :o, you could attach a quarter inch piece(or any width actually), to the edge of those short ones with glue, and after they are set, run the piece through a table saw to get that 1/16th back. If the edges are as smooth as you say they are, then the transition seam should be smooth. I wouldn't be able to handle it if it was off, and based on what you are saying, it sounds you have the same thoughts. There is not enough give for the sixteenth, you will be able to notice if you are looking for a perfect fit. This method will add a day, but you will eliminate the gap.

im thinking similar to mccoy. but slightly easier. go to a good sized hobby store. there they will have lots of different shapes and sizes of wood strip etc. balsa is out of course, but you can get aircraft ply down to at least 1/32" and there may also be strip hardwood down to 1/16". these are quite precisely the size stated. glue that in and just touch up the joint with sandpaper and primer. will be just as strong as if it were one piece. it doesnt sound like a good idea to sand DOWN the other pieces to suit the mistakes...

Thanks everyone I will check out the Hobby store and see what I can find. I wonder if they sell it in 26" lengths or if I'll just have to but it up? I also have plenty of scrap wood as well so either way..
Thanks guys!
