I've had my arcade machine for a little over a year now and been promising myself I'd give the screen a wipe.
Last night I decided was the night.
Took the bezel glass off and took a Windowlene wipe to it - TOTALLY black!!
Did the same to the monitor screen - EVEN BLACKER!!!!
It took 2 wipes to clean the 26" screen. I don't think the display had been cleaned in its 10-15 years of service.
I even noticed it has a really small amount of phosphor burn right at the bottom 'Insert Coin'!! Never even saw that before. (and can't see it when it is on - now)
Popped it back together and switched it on.
MY GOD!!! It has really vivid colors - AND it's not actually blurred at all.
I was amazed. - Can't believe I've been playing it for a year, with all that crap on it.
Just a message to anyone else who is too lazy to give their screen a good clean!!
It's well worth the effort (well not even really that much effort!!)

is this product placement?

Didn't see the burn in until he cleaned it. Sounds like a reason not to clean it!! :)

This raises a question I have (did a forum search but found no answers) - what exactly should a monitor be cleaned with - I'm talking about the glass front of the monitor. Windex, water, etc.?
Breaker.
