Title: good speakers for a micro-cab?
Post by: vrf on February 14, 2006, 02:19:11 am
I'm designing a teensy little cab, about a foot tall. What's my best bet for decent (tolerable) audio w/bass response for a cab this size? I'm thinking it'd be nice to use some of those USB-powered laptop speakers, although I'm open to other options. I really would like to run everything in the cab off of the 1u PSU, so the USB thing is really attractive.

By the way, the mobo arrived today. Wahoo! (LV-675, in case you're interested.)

Found my speakers. They'll fit perfectly in my cab.

The sound is apparently loud and very clear, although with very little bass response.

Sub-woofers don't come in micro size, I guess.

Walmart had those Creative Labs SMS330 speakers for $20.  Each speaker was about 3" x 4" but it also had a sub that you could set outside the cab or somethign if you wanted.
