Title: What is plexi "tolerance"?
Post by: Ninten-doh on February 12, 2006, 10:00:01 pm
I'm about to order a 3/16" thick piece of plexi from www.professionalplastics.com, and the online form asks what +/- tolerance I want.  The choices are 0.125, .062, .031 and .015.  What does this mean and any suggestions on which one is ideal for a monitor screen?  I'm getting a tinted gray color if that matters.

My guess tolerance would be related to your cut size measurements...if you request a 24.5" x 32.5" piece...it will be +/- the tolerance.  My guess is smaller tolerances will cost more money...
