...and if you have, is it sturdy enough for the 25 inch tv? Also I was going to use MDF instead of the particle board. Good idea? Help is needed...

this might help out a 'bit'
i modeled mine after the ultimate arcade (i) using a 25" tv. fell in love with the design of it, but it does worry me that its very front heavy. i may end up throwing a couple bricks in the back of it just to get rid of those fears. but ive had friends pound on the controls and shake the thing, and its held up very very well. i went with MDF for mine, and really its a ---smurfette--- to work with and very very messy. however i woudnt have changed that to ply at all personaly. the extra weight/sturdyness is what i love.

Thanks, so I should be good. Another question, where is everyone putting the computer? Just attaching the motherboard to the inside of the computer? And fans, what are you guys doing about the airflow? Thanks again, I bet these are annoying questions... :)

Don't use particle board. Use MDF or plywood.

Make sure you put the 2x4 support under the TV shelf and you should be OK.
I just tossed the computer chassis into it. Had thought about mounting everything inside but decided there was no reason to.
When your cutting MDF you should wear a mask and have proper ventilation. MDF creates fine particles and contains formaldehyde.

I am currently designing MameStation II from a modification of this basic design.
I really liked the modular look to the top and bottom and made for an affordable side art area that I could afford to print.
I will post a new site when it is ready.
Just wanted to share.

Ahhh! So THAT explains why I keep wakeing up on the floor with a circular saw right next to my face!

Look on the bright side, if the saw gets closer, your family should get a discount on embalming ;)
I've changed my answer now. I took everything out of the computer case and stuck it inside my cab. Mainly because I could, and its more impressive when the neighbors come over ::)
