Title: Question about reading schematics.

I'm working on a monitor and noticed on the neckboard it looks as though a couple of resistors and a capacitor have been broken off.  When I check the schematics of the monitor it doesn't list any values for the components, only "OPT".  What does that mean?  Are they just supposed to be bridged?  Something used to be there because the eyes have legs in them.  It's not a clean solder over like if it's supposed to be empty.

OPT means option.

That's what I was thinking, but if it's optional, why would anything be there in the first place?  Since I can't identify the components, should they be bridged with a wire, or should I just leave the circuit open the way it is?

I've seen several Wells-Gardner monitors with parts chopped off by the factory. I leave anything the factory did alone.
