Title: Route Cab under CP?
Post by: AMDman13 on February 11, 2006, 03:14:29 pm
Hi all.. I've been searching and I can't get a clear picture on this. Wit the "Project Arcade" should I route the portions that the CP sits on back of and bottom?

Thanks again guys!

I'm not really sure what you mean, but the only part of the CP I put t-molding on was the top piece, which I wrapped t-molding completely around.

Thanks for the reply AtomSmasher.

I'm talking about the 2 side panel's 12" ledges  (where the CP sits on) and the 6" piece that is directly behind where the CP sits. Do these both need routing?

Ah ok, I did route mine, but then I didn't put any t-molding there because its not needed.  So I'd say no, you don't need to route that, but it doesn't hurt anything if you do.

AtomSmasher... Thanks again. That's what I thought. Well I planned to route the whole thing before assemble, but I bought a 3/32" slot cutter and the T-molding I got from t-molding.com requires a 1/16".. I tried it on scrap wood and it fits, but just fall's right out! The book kept referring to a 3/32", so I thought I was golden. 12.00 for a new bit..(talk about getting nickel and dimed) Now I will start the assemble tommorow (baseplate with castors) Let the glue set for a day and maybe install 1 of the sides Mon night!! :)
