Title: wells gardner k7000 yoke
Post by: jkurri on February 09, 2006, 09:13:57 pm
I noticed that Happ has these on sale for 30.00 dollars. To ask a stupid question. Why would one want to have one of these and would anyone recommend picking up one of these to have??? What kind of trouble might you experience if your yoke was going bad??

Just wondering if I should pick one up.

Thanks,

Dan

Remember that there are different yokes in the k7000 series:

# 9A2865-001 used on the 9" monitor with Toshiba CRT

# 009A2945-001 used on the 9" monitor with Samsung CRT

# 9A2860-001 used on the 13" monitor with Orion CRT

# 9A2862-001 used on the 19" monitor with 22.5 mm diameter neck tube

# (I don't have number) used on the 19" monitor with 29mm diameter neck

# 9A2911-002 used on the 25" monitor with Rauland CRT

Usually if a yoke goes bad (not very often) it gets totally short circuited or develops some shorted windings causing shrunken vertical height. I would not buy one unless you need one.
