i am making a 36" showcase (television) cabinet i understand the basic shape the cabinet is going to be but im not shure how to support the overly heavy television set if anyone has a large podium and can take pictures of the supports that would be great

Wow, Nullb0y,
That's a pretty huge tv for a cabinet. That'll look awesome.
I would think that a tube style television of that size would be about 80kg (roughly about 180 lbs). I really hope your podium is strong.
My 27" CRT television is about 40kg (90 lbs). It's supported extremely well on just a 5/8" MDF shelf with 3 2x4 struts underneath it. That in turn is sitting on a a 2x4 on each side.
Or perhaps LCD is a better (yet a more $$$) solution.
Good Luck.

Can we expect a thread asking how to build the CP for a showcase cab, the TV surround section for a showcase cab, the connector section for a showcase cab, and how to wire a showcase cab?
Surely you HAVE gone to Jakobud's site like it was suggested to you in the past, right? Surely you HAVE done some searching on showcase cabs here, right? Because it seems like you have no interest in telling us what you KNOW or have SEEN or TRIED.
Throw 2x4's underneath your TV screwed into both sides of your TV stand. Use however many 2x4's you need to cover the entire area under your TV. I GUARAN-DAMN-TEE your TV will NEVER have support problems ::)

Or you could just put the TV on the floor.

nah i want the top of the tv to sit at about 6' tall
okay so basically just put some 2x4s at 90 degree angles?
i figured there was some sort of support methods i could try or somnething idk
