Title: Wanted : scan of Nanao MS8-25FB manual or help setting up chassis

I've just picked up a Pony-3 with a toshiba tube and a Nanao MS8-25FB Chassis - The cab has been sent off to be powdercoated and the monitor needs setting up as a previous owner knocked the yoke so the convergence is all to pot.

Also I dont know if its a 15Khz only chassis or a multisync so help working out what it is would be useful. Finally the cab didnt have an isolation transformer fitted - should it?

Bump.

I've found a jumper thats labeled Hi/Low and looking at othe Nanao documentation it looks like its a 15/24Khz Chassis.

Anyone know how to setup convergence rings?

time consuming,differcult job.start by looking at the individual rings,there should be a paint mark on each,they should all line up so you have a straight line from the front of the yoke to the locking ring,for fine adjustments you will need to bring up a grid,should be in picture test -this will enable you to adjust each ring one by one.i have a few of these monitors and the frequency is done on that jumper,always good to have an isolation transformer,but your cab must have a transformer because nanao are 110v input.

The Cabs running on 240VAC (as I'm in the UK) but I've fitted a stepdown/isolation transformer that outputs 115VAC for some reason - I expected either 110VAC or 120VAC, monitor seems to be working fine at that so I assume its OK.

When I rebuilt the cab I checked the yoke and the convergence rings are loose as is the locking bolt so I suspect a previous owner has had a fiddle, the red/blue pair are out by about 2mm diagonally and from information I've located on the web I think that could be just one ring to adjust.

yep voltage is fine,just a case of adjusting those yokes-but please use a grid and a mirror,it can be little time consuming but worth it-please remember dont over tighten your locking ring as the tube will crack just torque will do-look for those paint lines,its the factory preset.best of luck
