Title: 1 Happ optical rotary + 1 X-Arcade PCB + ???
Post by: Ninten-doh on February 06, 2006, 02:01:39 pm
I'm planning on replacing one of the joysticks in my X-Arcade with a Happ Optical Rotary joystick, and I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to interface it.  I can connect the joystick to the X-Arcade PCB, but what about the optical part?  Is there some kind of USB interface that will connect the optical rotary straight into the USB port, or do I need something else?  I've searched all the previous threads and I see that most options involve the Opti-pac or something similar, but those threads centered on connecting multiple joysticks/trackballs/spinners.  I'm just trying to connect the one joystick.  Has anyone done this with a more straighforward method?  I'm not a very tech oriented person so the easier the method the better!   ;D

OptiWiz at GroovyGameGear may be the way to go then.
