Hi,
I've just called every Radio Shack in the greater Los Angeles area.
None of them carry Radio Shack part #64-2220: the plastic hex wrench set that can adjust the width coil on my K7400 board.
Can anyone loan me the set for a day. If you're local, I'll pick up. If you're not local, I'll pay for shipping to me and back.
Please let me know if you can help me out.
Thanks.

There is a width adj. on you remote adj. board
-
remote pot was already adjusted all the way.
The width coil is on the board itself. Anyone out there loan me the Radio Shack plastic hex wrenches for a day? No Radio Shack in my area carry them anymore.
Thanks

Bob Roberts has an alignment set for $5

Be extremely careful and slow when adjusting the coil. I tried it on a non-working chassis. I applied very light pressure and split the ferrite core. It's really easy to break.
Don't forget to read this: Adjusting Width Coils

You can also use # 64-2230 which is the 3 piece set or # 64-2223 which is the 2 piece set.
Naturally if your local stores are out of stock you can order them thru radioshack.com
There are a few Marvac Electronics (www.marvac.com) in the LA area, they would definitely stock the much superior TV alignment tool sets made by GC Electronics/Waldom such as GC # 8454. I know there's a Marvac in Santa Barbera (I think it's on Hollister).

Thanks for all the help guys.

another trick for alignment tools is to attack plastic knitting needles with a file to make them whatever size you need (make sure they are plastic first)
