Better yet, how do you get Lazarus to run at all?
In WinXP, I get a Shockwave error message that flashes for half a second, the whole screen flashes, then I lost my task bar. Initially I thought explorer crashed, but not so much. The task bar just disappears. I downloaded and installed the latest Shockwave too, just to be sure. I don't get it. Ah well. Guess this isn't really relavent to the post. Just ignore me :)

you can try the alpha version hc posted of the upcoming dx version of laz that does not use shockwave anymore...
looks like you had a older version of shochwave installed before laz was installed.
then you installed lazarus it put the needed xtra in your old shockwave install
then you reinstalled shockwave and now it probably misses the xtra's in the shockwave folder in your windows folder
a reinstall with the laz installer might do it as that should coipy the xtra's now in the right place.

Here's 2 suggestions. 1st, try upgrading your flashplayer. 2nd try downloading these 2 files from the lazarus site
http://www.oscarcontrols.com/lazarus/files/Xtras.zip (http://www.oscarcontrols.com/lazarus/files/Xtras.zip) and install them in your flahsplayer's directory labeled "extra". One of these 2 suggestions i think will help.

not the flash player but the shockwave player and yes putting those two in the correct xtra folder in your windows directory should solve at least the director player error.
