Does anyone have a working DVD-Rom drive which is sitting around gathering dust?   I do not need a DVD "burner" at all, just want something to throw in my cabinet to read a DVD.   I am assuming most people now and days have DVD burners, so I figured I would try here before looking elsewhere.

i have 4 brand new compaq 16 x dvd-rom kit. bought bulk couple months back. i think i paid around $25 for it. i can ship to you priority for $8.10 lmk. i will be going to post office later today. email richardp171@yahoo.com

At www.pricewatch.com they are showing 16x DVD-Roms costing $19 shipped from PCDirect, so I am going to have to pass on your offer.   I was hoping that someone had one lying around they no longer needed so I would pay shipping plus a bit for the trouble of shipping only.
