sounds to me like the memory in that thing is shot. Radio has nothing to do with storing data. You got yourself a nice radio player now and that's probably it.

the memory in that thing is shot ??? any soulution? :'( cus i dont need a 'nice' radio player
-
At least yours is still partially alive, mine died after a flash upgrade never to power on again. Without the upgrade it would only play 50% of my MP3's so i didn't start off to well.

whats the brand of ur mp3? and how long haf u been using it ???

Yeah, either RMA the thing or toss it in the trash and go buy a new one.

Mine was an MP3MAN and it took me months to even get the thing out of the box (It was a leaving present from work). Anyway like i said after flashing the thing it was dead, it's in a draw somewhere i think which is a shame as it's 512mb and i could really do with a flash drive now to transfer my source code between work and home.

thx 4 ur 'helpful' advise, ninja. ::) anyway i've never heard of mp3man is it like a new brand? btw mine is 512mb too and it seem the bigger the memory is the more fragile it is ???

MP3MAN have been availble for ages, but i have read a lot of bad press about them. Mine too is a 512mb player. To be hones the USB stick type players don't seem the best.

Dude, what did you expect me to say?
"Um gee, I'm sorry, you can unscrew the back, de-solder the connections, run down to your nearest electronic parts dealer, buy a new memory card, install the new memory, and download a version of the firmware and you're good to go!"
Honestly, you're better off, if the thing is still in warranty, seeing if you can RMA the thing and get a new one.

nah its ok, im jus jkin  . but i dont think im goin 2 change the memory card cus if im not wrong its kinda expensive ??? and to dismantle the mp3 is definitely not working for me cus i totally had no idea abt mp3 stuff, plus i rather haf a 'nice' radio then mp3's spare parts :o actually my mp3 is second hand so no warranty. :'( anyway thx Ninja 4 ur suggestion and Barcrest 4 reading/replying my problems, i really appreciate it :D
