Title: Help me with my setup!

I have a p4 2.8 running with an x800 pro
im planning on hooking this up to a television which has a scart input

i have read up on the various vga->scart writeups, and searched the forum, the problem is i've got too much mixed info.

is a circuit required or does it simply involve joining wires together?
does the circuit prevent damage from occuring to the tv input/pc output?

You can't go directly from the vga port to scart unless you have an ArcadeVGA (or unless you want to see some cool whirly patterns on your TV  ;D ).

Well actually you can but you will have to make friends with AdvanceMAME. Also you'll need a video card which can be tweaked to 15khz using AdvanceMAME.
