I'm quite new to these foums and tried to find a related topic but couldn't, so...and I realize the main point of this entire board is emulator-related topics, but I thought I would try this question is this section, so here goes:
Has anyone built a gaming cabinet devoted to Mechwarrior games? I would imagine it would need to be a sit-down/sit-in style with a joystick and throttle control with maybe even rudder pedals for the feet (to allow torso twist or similar movement)... I realize Mechwarrior is pretty much a PC games, but the wheels started spinning in my head as I thought of ways you could wire up stuff, allow the user to play campaigns or single battles, save games, etc...
Anyone know of such a cabinet? If so, are there any pics available? Links?

You want something like this.

Dave and busters by my house JUST removed them from their location... I keep meaning to call them and see if they threw them out, sold them or what.

I planned on doing this when I got my house, but haven't started it yet. I wanted a configurable cockpit cab for mech games, flight sims and racing sims.
Do a search for flight sim cockpits in Google. That'll get you on the right track.

Thanks for the links and photos...
I hadn't even thought of using flight sim cockpit as a search item...guess I figured flight sim did not relate to Mechwarrior, but thanks for showing me the light. :)
I will check around some more...
...and we do have a Mr. Biggs here in town that has about 12-20 of these huge Mechwarrior simulators that you get in, sit down, the door closes, and it's fightin' time! I think they are made by Virtual World or some such company...but honestly, they charge you a ton of credits just to play one time and I just think it would be unbelievable to build one. Actually, after checking the one link that was posted, those ARE what we have here in Colorado Springs - and my mistake, it was Battletech, not actual Mechwarrior. Almost the same thing...and I guess those things are called pods...one last thing - there is a very large video screen that replays the battle once everyone has unloaded and the next group starts to play. You get a running tally of who has best score, most kills, and for a few seconds the 'camera' follows your 'mech around...great fun for those who are into Mechwarrior/Battletech...
Still, the thought of having 5.1 sound in your very own Mechwarrior simulator cabinet -- just awes me.
