Title: Can't Get Rid Of The Small Loading Screens Within Windows!
Post by: M.A.M.E Power on January 31, 2006, 07:12:38 am
Hi guys

Followed this advice:

To remove notifications: These are the little windows that come up and say "Loading personal settings" and the like, in regedit go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system and create a DWORD value DisableStatusMessages and set its value to 1.

But it has failed to do anything at all. The small screens still come up, and suggestions?

Try this registry tweak to disable the Welcome Screen:

From this page:

You can also go into Control Panel/Users/Change the Way Users Logon/Welcome Screen and change settings there.

Hi

Should have explained in more detail, have already changed the way users log on and off (disabled the welcome screen). I am referring to the little loading windows that appear (i.e saving your settings, and loading your settings).

I have changed the registry according to the changes below but they still appear.

Any ideas?
