Can't say I've seen anything like this before. Pretty creative spray/tag actually...

Funny.
I didn't know you could use animations. (Doesn't that kind of destroy the realism?)

I just got a cool idea. You draw a picture of a window, or opening in a wall. Then you record some vid of a soldier walking around beyond that window.

Make a GIF anim out of it, then spray it on a wall.  = Decoy!

LMFAO that would work!  It would depend on the level, but it would work for sure!  Spray paint a picture of a soldier onto some boxes ;)

I just wanna say, that is ---smurfing--- amazing!  Like, the idea of that is so cool I wish I thought of it.

We did stuff like that back in the Team Fortress days.

Had engineers with Sentry-gun sprays to draw grenades, and heavies with soldier sprays.

The fun one was the blood-splatter spray for spies feigning death.

People have been doing this sort of thing for a while. It definitely *is* crafty...

This is the kind of thing that results in game features being banned. The simple alternative would be to force all sprays to come with a certain "border", but then you could try the double-fake, and stand in the middle of a blank spray to make people think you were fake.  >:(

It's just fact that no matter what or how you design something, people will exploit the flaws.

I don't really consider it an exploit. It's tactical.

Thus, when I see something like this in-game...I just change tactics myself and try to use it against them.

I pick a decent angle, and fire at the decoy, drawing out the offender (who is often times using the spray to draw noobs into firing, letting them know they're coming). But I'm not on the expect vector, and I usually get the drop on *them*.

Then you get to gloat more.  :)
