Title: Anybody use green translucent leaf buttons on their cab?
Post by: quarterback on January 31, 2006, 12:35:25 am
I can see them in tiny pictures on Bob Roberts or Centsible's site, but I'm interested to see what these look like in a CP so I can really get an idea of the color.  If anybody has them lit up, I'd love to see that as well.
Thanks

heck, whip one out, stick it in a panel, and stand a flashlight underneath that sucker, then take a picture.  i don't mind!

My lack of paitience got the best of me and I went ahead and bought some this afternoon.

If you could put a flashlight under one and take a picture, that'd be cool.  But if you can't, that's okay too.
Thanks

Sorry Quarterback but I don't have a digital camera. I can tell you that I have them in my cab along with red, orange and dark blue ones and the green ones are definitely the toughest to illuminate. I have a large fluorescent light fixture underneath that lights up all the buttons rather then lighting them individually.I have several plastic mirrors mounted in key positions to help reflect and redirect the light where it is most needed. I still  had to mount individual incandescent mini lamps (same type that Williams games used) next to the green buttons just to get them to glow enough to match the brightness of the red, orange and blue ones. I'm currently building the cp for my third cab and I'm using Knievel's method to illuminate them. Its more time consuming but I'm in no hurry and you can't beat the results that his method achieves. I'm glad to hear you're using green ones. You never see them on other peoples cabs and they look great when lit up properly.
