What are you looking for?  There's very little specifics you are asking about.

If you suck at woodworking, plan on doing something else other than dowels.  They're harder to line up than biscuits and won't contribute much to strengthen the simple butt joints you're probably going to be going with.

Again, your request for help is very non-specific.  What are you wondering about - specific elements to a pedestal creation you are unsure about?

So, really, what you want is a little box with controls and a TV stand.

Other than that, you're really going to have to learn enough to know what you need to learn.

showcase cabs are the bomb dude.  i think jakobud has some plans on his site if you are just wanting to know where to start.

that being said, when i built mine, there were no plans to speak of to build from.  so i just kinda eyeballed everything.

www.dreamauthentics.com has a showcase cab that you can look at in 3d view.  i looked at that, and then did a bunch of searching on google.com for showcase cabs.  but really the best thing is to go an arcade (if you can find one) and look at other showcase cabs to see what you like...how tall to make the cp, etc.  i had a site with pictures and tips and all kinds of crap, but i switched from bellsouth to comcast, and now my site is gone.  doh!  but if you want some tips i might be able to throw some your way.  good luck.

i will buy tools if there they're cheap

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you're planning on building a showcase cab, you're going to need tools. I just don't really see any way around this one. If my old, grey-haired daddy taught me anything, it's that when you buy cheap tools you get cheap tools.

Or to put it another way, only cheap tools buy cheap tools.

And suckier for him is that I just parted one out and threw the damn thing in the trash.

why did you part it out man?  showcase cabs are awesome!  but im guessing the space factor was the reason.

regardless, you will need at least a circular saw, drill, router, and maybe a mitre saw if you can get one.

Because I didn't want it... and I tried to sell it for a year... then I tried to give it away... no one would even come get it for free.
