Title: Removing the Anode

After fully discharging my monitor, I attempted to remove the anode. I thought that these were connected with a snap connector. When I looked under the rubber cover, I saw two wires inserted into the monitor.

These wires are now loose. Were they always loose, or did I mess them up with the screwdriver when I discharged the monitor.

How exactly does one disconnect this from the monitor? Do you sqeeze the wires to extract them? Please clarify.

Now I'm no expert, but that looks like my WG K7602's anode, so I'll answer with that disclaimer.

The "wires" are really just like a little horseshoe looking clip.  You squeeze them together and it should pop right out.  kinda looks like an OMEGA symbol, you know "Ω" and the "feet" are under the sides of the hole.

So, when I reconnect it, do I just have to reinsert the wires of the clip? Is there anything that I should be concerned with, such as making sure something is in contact with something else?

just clip it back in the same way (so that the two feet are inside the hole)

make sure that the rubber cup is well seated afterwards
