Anyone have Daytona USA running on their PC Base cab - be it via MAME (doubtful!), PC version or Saturn emulation?
Just wondering...
-
PC version would be the way to go.

do you have it?
It doesnt seem to 'exist' anymore - not available to buy ANYWHERE (even ebay.co.uk!) and i have heard it does not work with windows xp...
Hence, im asking if anyone has it playable on their cab.
I MISS Daytona (I had the saturn one)

I have the DC version, I wonder if chancast can run it...

There's a version called 'Daytona USA Deluxe' for PC out there somewhere.
Here's the GameSpot review (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/driving/daytonausadeluxe) (demo available for download).
There are sellers on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00003IEEB/qid=1138219592/sr=8-2/ref=sr_8__i2_xgl63/102-0259942-3900914?v=glance&s=videogames&n=229534) selling it for next to nothing

I have no clue, when chancast came out I didn't have a computer that could run it and this is the first time I remember the program existed.

Chankast has been dead since 2.5, which came out EARLY 2005. They say the developers are still working on it, but you wouldn't know it by the lack of wip posts.

According to ntcompatible, it should work in XP with Windows 98 compatibilty turned on:

You can also get a demo here if anyone wants a quick Buzzz
http://downloads.pcworld.com/pub/new/fun_and_games/sports/ddx_demo.zip (http://downloads.pcworld.com/pub/new/fun_and_games/sports/ddx_demo.zip)
and I can confirm you do indeed need to have 'Windows 98/ME compatibilty' turned on to install and play it on win xp

If you're a daytona usa fan, I have an original manual with all the jamma wiring schematics, and a few decals that were stuffed in the coin door I rescued from a junker cab.
