Title: vegassio.bin ? What is it?

Some of CHD files also have a "vegassio.bin" file with them ..... what is this and do I need to do anything special with the file?

I assume you mean the vegas games :-)...

The CHDs are read only I think that mame writes to the bin file....

Not really sure...

Roadburn.chd and sfru2049.chd files both have associated vegassio.bin files.  Not sure if these are Vegas games ..... 

Anyway, I guess I should just keep them together with the CHD files ...  correct?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say yes keep it. 

A quick google search shows that it's part of several different rom sets, i.e. Gauntlet Legends, Cart Fury, San Fran. Rush.

Here is a list of vegas Games (they all need the bin file). Maw list the files as required roms.. I wonder if it is bios .

Are any of those games even playable?  If not, who cares?  By the time they are playable, the .rom, .bin and .chd files will probably all have changed anyway.

BTW: which CHD games are playable in Mamev103 on a 2Ghz machine?
