Title: Spinner alternative "Cyclone Spinner"
Post by: 19rjs99 on January 19, 2006, 04:25:13 pm
I'm not sure if anyone has posted about this yet... I did a breif search and only one psot came up.

http://www.arcadegames4u.com/pc-50-48-cyclone-spinner.aspx (http://www.arcadegames4u.com/pc-50-48-cyclone-spinner.aspx)

It has a nice Small footprint. Seems comparable to the Tornado price wise.

Anyone use one yet??? Any reviews???

Hmmm, the 'glue' thing scares me a little from that review.  I have accidentally hit or leaned on my spinner several times before.  Seems like it would pop right out of there if you hit it too hard.

The Tornado (http://www.slikstik.com/spinfeat.htm) is $89, compared to $74 for the Cyclone (http://www.arcadegames4u.com/pc-50-48-cyclone-spinner.aspx).  But you get a much nicer aluminum knob and a built-in USB interface for the extra $15.

There's also the ezarcade (http://www.ezarcadesolutions.com) spinners for only $33, with a USB interface, and a lame-ass knob.

I wonder what GroovyGameGear's (http://www.groovygamegear.com) new spinner will cost.

Yeah, but the structure looks pretty sound.  The review of the slik spinner said the aluminum "c" frame probably couldn't stand up to any abuse either.

"COME BACK KELSEY!!" :)

I think the stage is set for a nice groovygamegear spinner!  Make it a good one!

Oh, and the Happ "Trackwheel Control" for $139
http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/95093100.htm (http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/95093100.htm)

Looks to be geared like an Arkanoid spinner.  But not just like one, the gears are wrong.
