Title: vector games on arcade monitor?
Post by: hunky_artist on February 09, 2003, 06:33:56 pm
Hi there. :)

Im always hearing how arcade monitors are much better for how the games look on the screen, and i see these relatively new ones which work on a PC with less fiddling, just plug in as a normal monitor.... but how do these monitors handle vector games like Asteroids, if at all.

Would i need to go with a normal PC monitor if I wanted to play normal AND vector games?

you can never get the same video as a Vector monitor with any monitor except Vector monitor. I play Asteroids in my Standard Arcade monitor and I can't complain cause of that reason.

Vector games on a arcade monitor are not quite as good as a computer monitor. THe computer monitor is able to do much higher resolutions and the games look better. I have a 27" arcade monitor running at 640X480 and the vector games look quite good, the only problem is they dont seem as bright as they should be.
