Title: Bromley Ghost Town
Post by: Fusion Disaster on January 17, 2006, 04:34:44 pm
I just picked up this electro-mechanical drop target shooter arcade machine. It has a fake rifle mounted on the control panel that you aim & shoot at zombie drop targets.

I was able to find a little bit of doco on Bromley's website:
- CPU Board (1-3):
http://www.bromley-inc.com/CPU%201%20of%203.pdf
http://www.bromley-inc.com/CPU%202%20of%203.pdf
http://www.bromley-inc.com/CPU%203%20of%203.pdf

- Display Board:
http://www.bromley-inc.com/Display.pdf

- Ghost Town Manual:
http://www.bromley-inc.com/Ghost%20Town%20Manual.pdf

Anyone else have one of these? Or do any maintenance on them? I have a couple questions that hopefully you can help me with.
- My rifle is a bit creaky and stiff. Can I lube it's components to help with function more smoothly? What type of lube can I use on it?
- Some of my drop targets aren't registering shots. I don't know if this is due to their mechanics failing or some sort of mis calibration in the rifle aim. I'm not entirely sure I know how the game even registers the shots. Can anyone explain this to me?

Anyhow Just wanted to get some insight on this arcade, and to document some doco links so it's all on here for someone else down the road.

Thanks,

Brian.

Well I managed to answer some of my own questions by simply reading the manual, duh!

I still would like to know what the proper way to lube the gun is. And would like to hear from anyone else with this machine or other electro-mechanical gun games.

I have two of these Machines,  I used to have a manual but no longer.
What happened to the links above?  They dont work, anyone willing to share a PDF or at least pics of Jumper Settings.

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. I am working on making Side art and interior black light art for replacements.
as well as all other art and some cool price stickers for coin in.  No one is on the web for restoration.  I will be offering special colored paint
as well.  Thanks all.

AFAIK, the ROMs have never been dumped.

Ah okay, thank you.
Hoping maybe someone with a Ghost Town out there can use a ROM burner to read their working chips.
Its a long shot I know, but hopefully someone can help.
