im thinking about getting one of the ultimarc xbox adapters to hook up to my j-pac in my super neo 29. Has anyone tried these or no where there is a review

I have one. I built a control panel for it and hooked it up to my xbox at about 2am one night only to find that The Player 2 controls did not function at all.
I figured I was drunk by the time I got to the wiring part of the assembly and that I had somehow miswired something.
The next day I remembered that there were two connectors coming off the adapter, one for P1 and another for P2.
Even while drunk I can wire a control panel perfectly. I just cant plug it in right. :o
To answer your question, it works great. It works as advertised. I didnt even have to program the IPAC or anything. Using the default wiring and key mapping everything was where it was supposed to be.
Buy the little box for the connector, I think its like $3, (the case). It just makes the whole thing seem more professional.

are you using the monitor adapter also?

I've got both adaptors (controls & AV), and they both work great :)

I bought one of these about 9 months ago. Player 1 works as advertised, but I've never gotten my player 2 controls to work. I even bought a new iPac just in case and that didn't cahnge anything either.
Still, it works well for the first player, and allowed me to easily go from a PC in my MAME machine to an xbox.
Other than plugging in the p2 controls (which I have done, heh) nothing seems to work for me. If anyone has any experience with this kind of problem I'd love some feedback.

First make sure you are using the 'standard' IPAC keycodes for P2...failing that contact Andy @ Ultimarc.

Yeah, I'm using the standard controls. I haven't changed any of the controls since I got the new iPac that is currently in use with it. Maybe I'll mess wiht it tomorrow some and drop andy a note. Thanks.
