Target's selling the new SNK table top for $399.00.
Retroblast had a link to a photo on Gizmodo....wow....I may buy this one. It really actually looks well built!

You can have one made and better for that price. Well almost that price. Plus 1000 times the amount of games.
To be fair, there is SOMETHING to be said for legally licensed games ... and it does look like a decent unit at a reasonable price.
Cheers.

Actually I played some Robotron on the upright just a couple hours ago at my Target. (it still sucks) They haven't pulled it yet. I asked the sales guy in electronics a week ago how many they had sold over the x-mas holiday. And he said a grand total of zero. In fact they have it marked down too $399. I wonder if they will get the tabletop in....

So is there more than one version or something? The Target add has KOF'95 as the screen with looks like Samurai Showdown sideart. The pic in the thread has Puzzle Bobble sideart, which is a Neo-Geo game but made by Taito. Qix and Rastan are on the selection screen of the Bobble one, which are both Taito. So is this a Taito, or SNK, or choice or both? ???

that was the only photo I could find.
here's a link to their crappy website--- and yes they have a few versions of these coming out including a Capcom soon
as a side note I just notice it says on the flyer--- "Intel Processor".....I wonder if these are running a version of MAME

Dammit.

There is one of each. Click on the Arcade Games link in the left nav bar to see both.
Cheers.

did anyone read one of the customer reviews from "Clay"---
A lot to spend for 5 unheard of games and to use on a table., January 8, 2006
Reviewer: Clayweiser (Lancaster, PA) - See all my reviews
I have seen these on display and I bought and OWN the Midway Full size standing arcade for 399.00 on SALE. The Midway stamds by itself and has twelve POPULAR games from the 1980's. This requires a table to play the 5 UNkNOWN games it has on... read complete review
....that is too funny....UNKNOWN games!......man, this guy gave up on arcades in 1984 if that Midway cab has him all hot and bothered.

Ah, well okay then.

I have almost finished my first cab (cocktail) and would love to do something like what target is selling. Anybody have good plans for something similar that they would be willing to share? I probably could wing it, but it would be nice if someone with more experience had done one allready...
Thanks!!

Weird, the Capcom one has SF2 in it but only has 3 buttons :P
