Hi, I want to build my own Neo-Geo MVS control panel, and i was wondering if anyone could get me a close up picture and measurements of the panel and locations of it's buttons and sticks. This is the particular machine i had in mind:(http://images.webmagic.com/klov.com/images/N/cNeo_Geo_MVS.jpg) If someone could get me this info and picture, I will send that someone a Gmail invite, as gmail kicks ass. Thanks.

Jakobud has the CP measurements in his Neo-Geo cabinet plans here (http://www.jakobud.com).

My advice is to go to the Arcade Art library and download the Neo Geo CPO artwork they have there. It looks to be properly scaled for the MVS-2-25 and MVS-4-25 cabinets. Use that as a template for button and stick placement -- measurements on a populated CP will be far less accurate.

If you need an overall width for an MVS-2-25 control panel, let me know and I'll measure mine.
Cheers.

Not on my MVS-2-25 (for all that is worth) ... they look a lot like Comps and have the square actuator, but the bottom of the base is square not round. I actually thought about swapping the sticks out for Supers when I got the cabinet, but everything indicated that these were original sticks and they still work great.
I have seen pictures, including the original flyer for the MVS-4-25, where the sticks did look like Supers (nice chrome shafts, albeit with red tops). However, I have never seen such sticks on a live machine, either on location or at auction (and we get a lot of Neo Geos at auction here).
This is one of those "where is Paige Oliver ?" times.
Cheers.
EDIT: Having said all of this and having looked at the pics on HardMVS, I tend to think that either Comps or Supers would be suitable and I personally prefer Supers.

Me too. That's why I have a couple of red Supers for my MVS-4-25 on their way from Ponyboy. ;D Should look sharp and feel sexy... err... I mean nice.

I printed out the CPO, is it really 8.5 inches tall? i dont want to get the artwork printed then end up having my CP too small for it. If supers are the closest, then thats what i'll get. I might change the "select game" text to pause game, as NeoRageX does not support joystick interface like a frontend does. I would get a different emu, but the roms i have work only with NeoRageX. Thanks for all the help. I'll post pictures once i get the CP built.

My CPO is 23 3/4" x 9 1/4".

Mine too.

The ones I've seen for sale on eBay are larger than mine with different graphics. I'm presuming they are for the 6 slot cabs that are wider.

All the NOS ones I've seen on eBay are for 6 Slots. I've seen some repros for the 2-25/4-25, but they always need to have the credit indicator window cut out.
Cheers.
