Title: Monitor repair in GTA, Ontario?
Post by: Sinner on January 12, 2006, 02:15:42 pm
Is there anyone in the GTA, Ontario, Canada that does monitor repair?  I'm sure Starburst would do it, but I'm afrad as to how much it would cost.
I assume it would be a capkit that is needed.  I have no picture at all on the monitor, but the game sounds like it works fine...
Anyway, if anyone knows of some/place, I would greatly appreciate a point in the right direction...
Thanks,

Matt

I looked inside the machine today, and it looks like it says RCA 19VLTP22...CheffoJeffo says that is the type of tube, but there's a chassis number somwhere...anyone know where I need to look??

Looked a little closer, and there's a number here...looks like C32.
69X1178-100
Model No. 19K4906

That's all I can see on there, around the tube, so far...

OK, so I now know I have a WG 19K4906, and I've been researching to see if I could learn to fix this thing by myself...it's a little daunting, due to the fact that there are so many things it could be...any words of advise for someone going at this for the first time?

I did a cap kit in my monitor.  Not to difficult if you take your time.  Just make sure to dis-charge first, or you may be in for one heck of a shock!
