Hey guys,
-
you should mention whether it is TV compatible or pc only.
-
Um, not to be a smartassss...but the box sez "The ultimate gaming controller system for your PC" :D
-
ah yes it does say that but weren't act labs pc guns also for a tv as well? i.e. they both hook to a pc but the output was either s-video or vga.
-
Take note.
These guns don't work with MAME. These are their first generation guns that went through the joystick port. They would have required mame to use a special calibration utility to get working (and nobody ever compiled a version with it... or even came close... I hear Actlabs sent guns to some of the 'bigwigs' hoping they would put support in the official, but nobody ever bothered.
The ONLY way to get them to work is with a beta mouse driver... that sucks... and is only one gun.
I have a pair of these and have offered them free for shipping... (Rob, did you still want these? I forgot)...
but basically... they aren't worth 70, 50 or even 5 bucks... unless you have a very very specific plan for them that includes you programming.

I think richardp should open up the box and take pics of the connectors--I have two act labs PC (connect to vga) light guns on my mame cab that run through the usb port and they work brilliantly.
-
Yes, those are the newer guns. The GS system was before they went to USB (and mouse connections).
Anyway, ACT labs never sold a two gun (with dual holster) that works with mame. And the GS guns are definately the bad ones.
Just want to make sure that someone doesn't buy them for that kind of money hoping to get it to work with mame, since it wont.

ahhh good catch--wasn't aware of the GS series having problems...
