Yesterday on the home i pop into this shop to buy some ---daisies--- and that's when i notice the play choice cab it was tuck into one corner of the shop so i ask the guy about this, and he told me that the shop is being sold and that stuff over there is what there don't need anymore so i ask if i can take it, and made him a offer for

Nice score! The UK PC-10 cab looks a bit different then the US it seems. Might want to keep that in mind if you pick up any eBay parts (the glass front bezel is what I'm wondering about.).
What games came in it? Are both monitors working?
-
WOW. I've never seen one like that! Big speakers at top. Smaller top monitor. That's unique. You're not mameing this right?
-
What a minute....what were you buying?? j/k :D Anyway, good score on the cab, way to go!
-
Haha - I always get a kick out of when a Brit says they buy "---daisies---" - totally different meaning here in the States, gives new meaing to smoking...
Seriously though, for 50 pounds, that looks like a great deal. You simply must post more pics once you get it, I've never seen a playchoice like that before.

The Last PC10 has the following games :-
Golf
Kung Fu
Super C
Gauntlet
Pro Wrestling
Double Dribble
Captain Skyhawk
Thrack N Field
Super Mario Bros 3
1942
Both the screens work perfect and the sound is great.....
i dont really no much about these, but wanted to know -
would i be able to hook up jamma games in this cab???
-
That is a nice score ...
Cheers.

i will be keeping it as original as possible, but if some one lets me know about if i can play jamma games on this or do some thing that there will work on this then the only thing i will do is add extra buttons to play certain fighting games....

Some good games in there!
Plenty of these machines were converted to JAMMA and only use only one monitor. The thing is the monitors Nintendo used are RGB inverted. You can read up on that here (http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/spies.cgi?action=url&type=info&page=vidinvrt.txt). These machines were not Jamma wired by default, so it won't be plug and play with your Jamma boards.
These machines are basicly a arcade specializedl NES..or was it called Famicom in the UK? You can purchase and swap the special PC10 carts on the PCB. There are always a few up on the ol'ebay.

cheers for the info romperwomb, by the way what does ur namemean ???.......
and there is still 2 more arcades still in the shop, one is a bas which is running double dragon needs a good spring cleaning done on it and the other is a neo-geo which has seen better days, looked like the CP has been used as a ass tray and a place to butt out ur ---daisies---.....
but if anyone is interested in them, you will only pay what i paid for mine or am sure he will let them go even cheaper if bought the 2 together....

I have one of these at home, which I'm selling currently. You got a hell of a deal on that cab, they are usually going to around $200-$300 USD on eBay, and I'm not sure what the UK version you have is worth. Looks pretty cool.
On the US version, I believe the wiring is identical between Playchoice 10 and the Nintendo Vs. systems. So you should be able to swap in Nintendo Vs. boards too. Not extremely useful as those boards only play 1 game at a time, and most of them can be found in Playchoice 10 slot format (so you can have 10 of them instead of just one). However the nintendo vs. system has modified arcade versions of the original NES console games, while the playchioce 10 versions are pretty close if not identical to their NES counterparts.

Translation: Even though I have an EXTREMELY rare (uk pc10 is almost non-existant) cabinet in perfect working order I intend to ruin it by drilling up the nice, untouched, control panel.
If you must convert this for a random mindlesss fighting game at least purchase a spare control panel, make a custom overlay for it and do it right.
I find it ironic how hundreds of cabs were killied in the mid 90's by sf2 conversions yet this one, having survived all that, will die once it is put in the supposedly more caring hands of a private collector.
-
i have desided to keep it just how it is, cleaned it up and now it sits there pefectly for everyone to play with......
anyway it dont take too long just to build another cab so i dont see any point in ruining the CP on this one.....
dont belive i said that and i still havent finished building my first cab ???
