Please beware of anyone selling arcade equipment that go by the name Aki Kalatzakis [ovalblue@sbcglobal.net]. He also uses farrahbugg@yahoo.com as a paypal account which according to him is his girlfriends account. Guy uses a San Jose, Ca address.
He said he had other arcade control components which he was trying to sell and he was going to try to sell him here. He had a positng on Craigslist.org for arcade equipment of which he had an ArcadeVGA. We agreed on a price and it turned out it was not even close to an ArcadeVGA. First he sent me the wrong drivers with the card. First flag , then I confronted him with the fact that it was not loading up with the 7000 drivers and he insisted that it was. Finally I decide to email Andy Warne of Ultimarc and he confirmed that was this guy was selling me was nothing close to a ArcadeVga. Andy said the guy did buy from him awhile ago but that card he sent me didn't come from his company.
Check out the thread which has been start on the Ultimarc forum about the video card in question:

A long list of threads saying this is not an ArcadeVga. So be careful when dealing with this creep. I actually know where he lives maybe I should go pay him a visit personally. His address was on the USPS the package to me with his address!! I want to give this guy the benefit of the doubt but Andy and others from Ultimarc say this didn't come from them...
Anyways, thought I would give you the heads up to watch out for this dude!!! :police:

I didn't read the whole thread. Just looked at the picture. That card is a piglet. It is a Radeon 7500 class part with 1 less rendering pipe and no transform and lighting. Piglet is an internal name. The resale name is Radeon VE. It probably came with his system, he bought the arcadevga and sold you that card. They are the lowest end card ATI sells next to Rage 128.

OVALBLUE IS HIS USERNAME ...
Guy knew the thing didn't work and he sold it to me!!!!

I received this card from Ultimarc aprox. 14 months ago. I have never purchased another video card so its impossible for me to mix cards. The buyer saw a picture of the card before purchasing it.

You know what's cool?
Going through the appropriate channels--in this case, PayPal--and filing a claim.
While watching a couple of people piss all over each other in a public forum can be amusing, it's a lot less fun when there's a THOUSAND!!!!!!!!!!!! exclamation marks, all caps here and there and tons of emotions involved in it.
Beyond that, if you've got an issue, how about starting in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum and trying to stick to the basics of facts instead of any speculation. And then--and this one's going to be tough--try and keep the rest of us out of it; your purpose does not appear to be one of notifying us about a scammer selling something as much as it is about how YOU think you got scammed. I'm not saying you didn't, I'm just saying that maybe you should wait until the story is complete before starting to author the book.
It could pan out to be a lot less embarassing for you in the end and may even help to resolve things a little more amicably.
Peace.

Roughy,
I did go thru all the avenues as far as filing a camplaint with Paypal, etc and I tried numerous times to resolve it with him and he won't answer back and all this after I talked with Andy Warne of Ultimarc to make sure the card was not a ArcadeVGA and that I was not losing my head.

See, that's the problem--people do view these threads, because as a community we try and help. That's the nature.
But now--and no, I didn't read that encyclopedia of information because I'm beyond caring much about it based upon your initial approach--at the end of your post you say that the guy is giving you your money back.
And here you are left with this thread that you stomped all around in.
Telling someone to ignore the thread works; I don't disagree and would give the same approach, but you took a personal issue and turned it into a public pissing match by drawing people out in the open. I happen to think you could have exercised better (n)etiquette and resolved the issue in the same amount of time without having to drag someone through the mud to get it.
But that's your choice.

Roughy,
I agree with what you are saying.
